Trinity Education Improvement Partnership

Trinity Education Improvement Partnership (EIP) was formed in 2006 and is a partnership of schools linked, not by location, but by faith. Our partnership includes the following Catholic schools:

  • Trinity School
  • St Teresa’s Primary
  • Our Lady of Perpetual Succour Primary
  • St Margaret Clitherow Primary
  • St Augustine’s Primary
  • (St Mary’s Hyson Green is an informal member)

The broad aim of the partnership is to improve the life chances of our pupils by working together and sharing good practice. We work in collaboration with our partners to deliver successful projects around science, the arts and extended services in schools. One of our main priorities is language and literacy support, especially for those new to English as a language.

Current Priorities

  • Developing children’s language and literacy skills, with a focus on parental involvement
  • Supporting parent workers in schools
  • Promoting pupil enrichment and staff development
  • Promoting a greater uptake of free school meals across the partnership
Examples of Projects

  • Delivering a ‘Paired Reading’ scheme with Trinity sixth-formers helping primary children
  • Running a cross-school staff network which shares best practice around supporting pupils with English as an additional language
  • Organising inspirational literacy workshops
  • Providing storytelling sessions for young children and families
  • Producing colourful postcards encouraging parents to register for free school meals
  • Using Ogden Trust funding, Trinity School delivers exciting science workshops in the primaries
